Cara Snow (I know it's bad haha but it's pretty old so…)
20,000 years ago, a 17 year old girl named Cara Long lived up in the heavens. Her father was Hercules, though she had no power. Each day she would long for snow, but Zeus wouldn’t allow it. Snow made all the heavens freeze, making him unable to travel to his brother, Poseidon.
One day, as Cara was walking to her father’s temple, she came across a wise old man named Myrtle Snow. Myrtle Snow offered to give Cara the power to make snow fall for a lock of her brown hair. Cara agreed. Myrtle gave her the powers and carefully cut of a lock of her hair. It hurt her, but Cara tried not to show it. Cara decided to show off her powers right there and then. Snow fell down into the heavens, the icy white snowflakes transforming Cara’s old patched-up dress into a beautiful white gown with silver snowflakes and blue and gold lining. Cara Long was now Cara Snow.
It was snowing in the heavens. Cara hoped that no one would notice, but oh, did someone notice. That someone was Zeus. Zeus called Athena. This was something that called for much attention. She found poor little Cara dancing in the snow happily and brought her to Zeus’ palace. Her father was informed but was stuck inside his temple for fear of the snow. Zeus tied Cara up to a chair and pulled Athena to a corner of the room. “What should we do to punish her?” Zeus asked Athena. Athena had an idea, a good-no, great idea. Excitement shone in her eyes. “I think we should…” she was cut off almost immediately. A giant snowball was headed directly at Zeus’ head! Zeus sent lightning into the snowball, sending it in reverse. It was headed straight towards Cara now. It broke her ropes apart and set her free. Zap! Another lightning bolt was headed at Cara! She tried to move but it hit her anyway, freezing her in time. Cara could not move nor speak nor cry for help. It was all up to Zeus now.
Whispers were heard from the other side of the room. Athena had told him her idea. He walked back and forth, carefully pondering his decision. Moments later, he agreed. “You may do as you wish.” He said to Athena. Athena beamed proudly and cupped her hands together. When she opened them, she had released a flower. She blew the flower away softly, and it landed in Cara’s lost lock of hair-her weakness. Cara melted to the ground, crying in pain. Her remains lifted up to the heavens of all heavens, aka the sky. She is now a constellation, forever crying in pain. Look at her and remember, rules are there for a reason.
